Participation desk in Maastricht

Through various experimental pilot projects at a select number of COA locations, COA and various partners are finding out what guidance of residents towards work can look like and what is needed to ensure that people in asylum reception participate in the Netherlands make a valuable contribution to society. For example, Participation Desks are organised at different COA reception centers. All residents of a reception center can go to the Participation Desk at a location for guidance towards paid or voluntary work. COA locations collaborate with municipalities, employers and local (social) organizations to create a wide range of services, tailored to the wishes and needs of the residents.
